Sheila MacNiell

Sheila creates work that work oscillates between reality and abstraction. It is a representation of her interactions with, and reflections on, her immediate environment. She explores and shares her reactions to the boundaries between the natural environment and human imposed structures. Working in mixed media, she creates collages created from the bi-products of everyday life including disposable face masks, packaging materials and cardboard. The work reflects entanglements of colour, plants, litter, buildings, and water in new assemblages and patterns.
